A new route connecting Cornwall with Northern Ireland got underway yesterday (Apr 3).

Aer Lingus Regional’s service, operated by Emerald Airlines, flies between Cornwall Airport Newquay and Belfast City four times a week (Monday, Thursday, Friday & Sunday).

Amy Smith, head of commercial at Cornwall Airport Newquay, said: “We’re excited to be adding this direct link between Newquay and Belfast to our network, making Cornwall better connected to Northern Ireland than it has ever been.

“It’s fantastic news for passengers wanting to travel in both directions and we look forward to continuing to work closely with Emerald Airlines to keep delivering and growing these great services.”
