Two public consultation dates have been announced for the proposed Looe Valley Trail.

Anyone with an interest in the trail is invited to attend events at the Eliot House Hotel in Liskeard on November 17, or Looe Community Academy on November 21.

Ross Fisher, a member of the trail feasibility study team and South East Cornwall Tourism Association, said:  “We are particularly keen to hear from local tourist accommodation providers, cafes, cycle hire operators and other businesses as to how they think the trail could benefit them.

“We’re also developing plans for a Friends of the Looe Valley Trail organisation to have a say in the project as it develops and supports the construction and ongoing maintenance, and we’d love to hear from anyone who would like to participate in this.”

The trail feasibility study is looking at route options between Liskeard, Looe and Lanhydrock and is due to report in the spring of 2017.

The study is funded by Cornwall Council, the EU LEADER programme, Liskeard Town Council, Looe Town Council, Liskeard Town Forum and the Cornish Mining World Heritage site.
