A new printed guide has been developed to promote the city and rural district of Truro.

Truro City Council, along with Visit Truro Tourist Information and Totally Truro, the city’s Business Improvement District (BID), have launched a new-look guide to raise the profile of Truro and the surrounding district as “a must-visit destination”.

The guide, or ‘guidezine’ as it’s being termed, will be published three times a year rather than annually, lending itself to more seasonal content for Cornwall’s visitors and residents, as well as those who live and work in the city.

Spearheaded by Truro-based branding and destination marketing specialist, Wolf Rock, the guide is the first of a number of initiatives to promote ‘brand Truro’.

Having also developed the brand’s new visual identity, the agency hopes to raise Truro’s profile throughout the UK.

“Truro often gets overlooked when the Cornwall flag is being waved, with many favouring beautiful seaside towns like Falmouth or Padstow,” said Wolf Rock director Jo Downie.

“Truro and its rural district need a much louder voice to encourage people to the area. With such a strong independent business scene, we want to celebrate all that makes this our great little city.”
