Helpful Holidays is the latest company to support Hall for Cornwall (HfC) as a community partner and will help fund the theatre’s ticket giveaway.

HfC launched the community programme last year, with the help of funding from Paul Hamlyn Foundation, focused on giving free theatre tickets to disadvantaged individuals in six areas of Cornwall identified as ‘deprived’ in Cornwall Council’s Economic Deprivation Index 2009.

To celebrate the launch of the community programme, HFC is running a Golden Ticket competition through The West Briton, Cornish Guardian, and Cornishman. Readers who discover a Golden Ticket in their newspaper will be entitled to a year’s worth of free theatre for themselves and five other people per show.

Thanks to Helpful Holidays, the chance of finding a prize in the paper is even more likely over the Golden Ticket giveaway period, with 25 pairs of tickets hidden inside as well.

HfC director, Julien Boast, said: “We are thrilled that Helpful Holidays has chosen to support our community work. Funding from local companies helps our team continue its sterling work throughout Cornwall, making theatre accessible to all and creating extraordinary experiences for everyone.”

Helpful Holidays manages more than 600 self-catering holiday cottages in Cornwall, Devon, Somerset and Dorset.
