Visit Cornwall is offering a second series of digital marketing workshops to help tourism businesses maximise their online potential.

The workshops, in partnership with Gendall Design and Niddocks Online Marketing, will explore the rapid growth in the use of mobile devices such as tablets and smart phones to access the internet, and will highlight the need for mobile friendly websites and mobile marketing strategies.

Taking place in Penzance (March 25), Bodmin (March 26) and Launceston (March 27), the three half-day sessions have been designed specifically for tourism businesses and will help attendees embrace new technologies and ultimately boost bookings, save money, and improve efficiency.

Visit Cornwall digital marketing manager, Lauren Hogan, said: “More people now use mobile phones than PCs to get online so it is vital for tourism businesses to have a responsive online presence. These workshops will equip the Cornwall tourism industry with essential digital know-how and help keep Cornwall at the forefront of the travel industry.”

The events are free of charge to Visit Cornwall 2014 members, £90 to non-members.
