According to latest research, accommodation and food services businesses in the south west are the region’s most improved in terms of financial security over the last year.
Insolvency trade body, R3, reports that 75% of local hotels, restaurants and bars have seen their risk of insolvency fall, over the past year.
Joanne Rumley, chair of the R3 South West region, said: “These figures are very encouraging for the south west which has traditionally relied on its tourist industries for prosperity.
“A summer of excellent weather combined with the beginnings of what will hopefully be, a sustained economic recovery will certainly have given the region’s hospitality sector a boost.”
