A leading Cornish ferry company has seen a rise in charter bookings follow an extensive refit of its flagship boat.

Fal River Cornwall, which runs the King Harry Ferry, St Mawes Ferry, Enterprise Boats and Park and Float in Falmouth, transformed Enterprise 2 into Moyana.

After undergoing an extensive winter refit, group bookings and private charters of the boat have increased by 50%.

Fal River Cornwall’s charter manager, Tiffany Bailey, said: “We took the decision to take Enterprise 2 out of the water and carry out the refit following an increase in enquiries last year for high end charters.

“As a result of the hard work, Moyana is now able to meet the demand for weddings, corporate events, company days out, training days and product launches.

“Three of our packages – pasty and pint, jazz river-cruise and champagne and canapés are proving incredibly popular.”

The refit was carried out by Cornwall Ferries’ in-house team and has given Moyana a heated undercover area, plasma screens for presentations, video streaming and digital advertising, sound system, male and female electric flush toilets and a fully stocked bar.
