The project, comprising of a 200KWp ETA Hack Woodchip Boiler and a 5000L thermal buffer tank, using woodchips to provide water and air heating to the Oasis indoor pool.  The park are now exploring the possibility of extending it to the outdoor pool and other facilities on the park.

Jonathan Hyatt, director, said “The project would not have progressed so quickly, in time for the 2013 main season, without the design and build expertise of A-Tec Design, Truro, and Brian P Keast & Sons of St Agnes”

The opening of the Biomass facility comes hot on the heels of the opening of a 10-acre solar farm which, together with other initiatives, saw Hendra become a winner of the Cornwall Sustainability Awards, the RHS UK National Commercial award in the Britain in Bloom awards, and continue to be at the forefront of sustainable business operation within the parks sector.
