Scilly is included in the ‘Coastal Escapes’ campaign, which will promote short breaks to six of the most spectacular coastal locations. The campaign is part of VisitEngland’s three-year, £49.1 million investment project called ‘Growing Tourism Locally’, which is funded in part by the Government’s Regional Growth Fund.

The campaign is running on network radio stations Classic FM and Gold FM, as well as The Guardian, Mail on Sunday and visitengland.com.

Dave Meneer, joint Isles of Scilly Tourism and Business Partnership co-ordinator, said: “We are thrilled to be part of this exciting campaign which aims to grow tourism and jobs on the Isles of Scilly and for England as a whole.

“Scilly is the perfect place to escape from the hustle and bustle and recharge in stunning coastal surroundings, and it’s just on our doorstop in Cornwall, so it was only natural to be included in this important tourism campaign.”
