Work has started on a new eco-inspired holiday retreat in St Ives.

Sited at the former Little Trevarrack Holiday Park, which was acquired by real estate fund manager Frogmore back in June, ‘Una St Ives’ will feature 123 luxury holiday homes and have access to a leisure centrepiece with indoor swimming pool, spa and restaurant.

David Cole, director at Cornish developer CC Leisure Ltd, explained: “Having inherited the planning consent from the previous site owners, we are now looking to carve the way for new sustainable eco-inspired holiday homes.

“St Ives is a beautiful location and we plan to complement the area with a stunning development. As a relatively small site, we still plan to maintain the green areas by planting wild grass gardens, even more trees and going one further with green sedum roofs.

“Una St Ives is an exciting opportunity for the town to benefit from potential year-round tourism whilst creating hundreds of jobs locally.”

It is anticipated that the first stage of the retreat will be open to owners in the spring of 2014.
