A new hotel search engine company has been launched in Penzance.
Mapov.com has been founded by Richard Jackson, who has worked in the online travel industry since 2003, for companies such as Activehotels, booking.com and, most recently, Expedia where he was an online marketing consultant.
It takes a different approach to many in the industry by displaying search results on a map rather than in a list.
Jackson explained: “Our desire is to consign long one-dimensional lists of hotels to the past!
“We put hotel search results on top of a map whilst allowing users to compare choice, price and availability, all in a clean, crisp and elegant environment.”
