Director Mark Roach and Partner Simon Girling of accountancy and business advisory firm, BDO LLP, have been appointed to manage the administration of Cape Cornwall Golf Hotel and Leisure Resort at St Just.

BDO and property agent Strutt and Parker are keen to find buyers for the family-run business which boasts the ‘first and last 18-hole golf course in Britain’, situated on England’s only cape.

It currently has 200 members as well as a club house, function suite used regularly for weddings and other events and an eight- bedroom hotel complete with indoor swimming pool, gym and treatment room.

Mark Roach, a director in the business restructuring team at BDO, said: “Cape Cornwall is a leisure business with huge potential which is likely to appeal to experienced entrepreneurs as well as first time business owners eager to embrace fresh challenges and a new way of life.

“This is a rare and exciting opportunity to create a thriving leisure business in one of Cornwall’s busiest tourist spots and we are expecting the sale to attract a lot of interest.”

Established in 1990 in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Cape Cornwall Golf Hotel and Leisure Resort currently employs 20 people.
