A short film showcasing the attributes of Newquay is being launched next week.
‘Promoting Positive Newquay’ has been created by local company Reef Film Production to show people that there is much more to Newquay than the negative image that is sometimes portrayed in the press.
The four minute web movie features everything from tai chi and horse riding to family attractions such as Newquay Zoo – not forgetting the beaches and surfing that the town is famous for.
The film is being premiered on July 12 at a networking event for local businesses at the Carnmarth Hotel (7.30pm), after which it will be available to download for free from the Reef Film Production website.
Anthony Rowett, from Reef Film Production, said: “For a few years now Newquay has been wrongly slated in the national press for its booze-fuelled nights and its young persons drinking problem.
“There are so many more positive things going on in Newquay that never get a mention, which is why we wanted to create this film to show off the great aspects of the town we love.”
