Following a successful first summer as a sponsor of a Cornish theatre company a local ferry company has committed its support for the next 12 months.

The team behind Cornwall Ferries and the King Harry Ferry has agreed to back Miracle Theatre’s 2011 programme.

The move comes after a successful summer where the company ferried audience members to and from Miracle’s performance of Romeo & Juliet at Trelissick Gardens and St Mawes Castle.

Cornwall Ferries’ managing director, Tim Light, said: “Right from the start it was clear that being the summer tour sponsor for Miracle Theatre Company’s production of Romeo & Juliet was going to be far from dull.

“The Miracle team made the whole process very easy for us and from the outset we were both clear what we wanted to achieve – the chance to get regional promotion for the River Fal area across the south west from Cornwall to Dorset, along with local profile and tickets to reward our staff for their hard work and loyalty was too good to miss.”
