Cornish law firm Coodes Solicitors has launched a specialist team to support businesses in the leisure and tourism industry.

The service has been launched in response to a growing demand for advice from clients in the sector.

Partner at Coodes, Christian Wilson, explained: “The launch of the leisure and tourism team is an expansion of services we are already offering, as a result we can tailor specialist advice to specific queries.

“We recognise that the tourism industry is hugely important to the economy in Cornwall and as such Coodes felt businesses should be given the focus and attention they deserve.”

The Coodes team recently visited the Driftwood Spars Hotel, in St Agnes, which is a client.

Landlady, Louise Treseder, said: “We’ve always had a fantastic relationship with Coodes as they are supportive, helpful and always on hand to deal with any questions we might have.

“It’s great that they can come out to the Driftwood Spars, as it saves me a huge amount of time and enables me to get on with running my business.”

Coodes is the oldest law firm in Cornwall and has a leisure tourism specialist in each of its seven offices in Cornwall and Devon.

Teresa Timms, from Visit Cornwall, added: “This is a great new service offered by Coodes. In today’s highly competitive world it is now more important than ever that tourism businesses operate more efficiently and effectively.

“This service will certainly help them achieve this by allowing businesses to focus and those areas which can make such a big difference – offering great value for money and first class customer service.”
