Air Southwest, Newquay Airport’s biggest operator, has been officially recognised as the most punctual airline flying in and out of London Gatwick airport
Statistics released by the website Flightontime based on data from the Civil Aviation Authority, ranked Air Southwest number one for punctuality out of the top 25 airlines using London Gatwick.
Air Southwest has four flights a day, seven days a week from Newquay and Plymouth to London Gatwick.
Mike Coombes, Air Southwest commercial director, said: “These figures cover more than 2,800 Air Southwest flights over a 12 month period so to be ranked number one is just fantastic.
“It’s testimony to the hard work of the whole Air Southwest team, all of whom do their utmost to ensure that our customers travel in comfort and arrive on time.”
Apart from London Gatwick, Air Southwest also flies from Newquay to Leeds Bradford, Manchester, Bristol, Dublin, Cork, Newcastle and Glasgow.
