With just a few days to go to the start of this year’s Fal River Festival organisers are beginning to put the finishing touches to events.
The festival, which aims to celebrate life on and around the river Fal, runs from Friday, May 28 to Sunday, June 6.
Featuring over 150 events covering food, music, sport, theatre, art, literature and film, this year’s festival will be the biggest one held to date.
Festival director Toby Budd, said: “This last week is always quite hectic with the finishing touches being put in place and making sure everything is going to plan.
“We’ve got new events coming in all the time and so we’re busy making sure they are on the schedule and they are added to our website so that people can log on and find out what is happening.”
The festivities kick off on Friday, May 28 with the Beer Fleet, which sails from Truro to Falmouth for the opening ceremony in Events Square.
