Cornwall Services on the A30 is celebrating ten years since it first opened its doors to the public.

It is estimated that the service station has welcomed more than 10 million people since opening in 2014.

It attracted 600,000 vehicles in its first year of operation and that has now doubled to around 1.2 million vehicles turning into the facilities every year.

When it opened, Cornwall Services had two big brands, McDonald’s and Costa. Over the years these have been joined by Subway, Greggs and TacoBell along with Holiday Inn Express in 2020, Co-op in 2021 and Mountain Warehouse and the Gridserve electric vehicle charging points in 2022.

In addition to the big brands, Cornwall Services has championed local food and local businesses. There is now a Rowes Cornish Bakery, in addition to independent food outlet Miami’s. Other local and independent brands include Mango Surf which opened in 2018 as well as Saltrock and Teddy Freddy’s Barber Hut, which opened in 2019.

Andrew King, Commercial Manager at Cornwall Services, said: “It has been a busy ten years for the team at Cornwall Services. We’d like to thank all the local residents and business people that visit us on a regular basis as well as the tourists that now make a stop at Cornwall Services an essential part of their holiday.”
