easyJet today (May 24) celebrated the launch of its new service between Newquay and Manchester.
The first flight departed from Newquay to Manchester at 9:50am. The flight to Manchester is the first of three new domestic easyJet routes from Newquay launching this summer. Flights to Glasgow launch on Saturday (May 29) and to London Gatwick from June 8.
Flights from Newquay to Manchester will operate up to five times a week on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays throughout the peak summer season.
Pete Downes, MD at Cornwall Airport Newquay, commented: “We are delighted to be welcoming easyJet to Cornwall Airport Newquay today, with the first of three routes for this summer.
“These new flights will not only serve the needs of those looking forward to a holiday in Cornwall this year but will also enable local residents and businesses to get flying again, whether that is to visit clients and customers or to catch up with the friends and family they’ve been missing during the lockdowns. For those reasons and more, this is a particularly special route launch for us.”
