Eastern Airways has announced that it is to operate a second new route from Cornwall Airport Newquay.
Following last week’s news of three-times a week link to Teesside International Airport, the carrier today (June 10) revealed that from July 9, this service will be joined by Leeds Bradford.
A route between Cornwall and Yorkshire has been a popular connection for many years and there will be many that will welcome the news of its reinstatement following the loss of the Flybe service when the company collapsed in March.
Cornwall Airport Newquay MD, Pete Downes, said: “This announcement by Eastern Airways of a second new route to Cornwall Airport Newquay is fantastic news. It demonstrates a real vote of confidence in our region, and of the potential for domestic air travel to begin its recovery.
“With flights every weekday, the schedule will cater well for both business and leisure passengers.”
