A leading electric bike specialist has doubled in size after seeing demand grow and success with leading brands.
Based in Penryn, Top Gear now stocks Raleigh, Haibike, Kalkhoff, Focus, MiRider, Wisper, Corratec and Neomouv.
Business owner, Peter Williams, said: “I originally started with electric bikes back in 2004. They were hardly known back then but I enjoyed riding them and trying out the new technology.
“Since we moved into Penryn during 2015, the business has continued to grow and allowed us to further expand our current premises when the retail space next door became available.
“This has given us the opportunity to improve our bike and accessory displays while allowing us to also display the bikes in a better way and increase our product range.”
Top Gear is also looking to develop e-bike maintenance training in its new space and group get-togethers, so riders can buddy up and explore new routes together. The shop is also currently looking for an additional member of staff due to the expansion, to work in both the sales and repair workshop.
