A loyalty card scheme has been launched by Camborne’s Business Improvement District (BID) to encourage shopping in the town.

The scheme works by participating BID businesses stamping a customer’s card. Each card has space for up to ten stamps and, once filled, is entered into a monthly draw. First prize will be £100 in vouchers, second price is £75 and third prize is £50.

Participants can submit as many completed cards as they wish in one month, but each business can only stamp a customer’s card once each day.

“Someone can fill up their card with ten stamps in just one day by visiting ten different businesses,” said BID manager Anna Pascoe. “More occasional shoppers will probably take longer to fill their card but are also in with a chance of winning.

“There is no limit on how many cards someone can send us each month or on how long one card might take to fill. The most important thing is to encourage people into our shops and services and to reward their loyalty.”

Completed cards should be sent to BID Camborne, Unit 11, Camborne Business Centre, College Street, Camborne, TR14 7DB, by the 9th of each month. Entries arriving after that will go forward to the following month’s draw and winners will be notified within seven days.

BID Camborne was voted in for a third five-year term by member businesses in December 2021.

“We are always looking for new and interesting ways of building customer numbers,” added BID Camborne chair Sharron Lipscombe Manley. “Camborne has so much to offer in terms of small, independent businesses and national brands who collectively provide excellent customer service and a wide range of great value products.

“We hope our new loyalty card will prove a success and look forward to announcing our first winners next month.”
