The Newquay Business Improvement District (BID) is canvassing public opinion that will help shape the future of the town’s brand and communications strategy.

The online survey (which will also be available in physical form should this be requested) is live now and will remain active until November 30.

There are two separate surveys available; one for residents and another for those who live outside of the town.

To incentivise individuals to take part, Newquay BID has purchased a number of gifts from BID members that participants will win at random. These include a luxury stay at the Pentire Hotel, in the form of a £600 voucher and five runner-up prizes of Cornish Hampers from family-run Newquay firm, The Cornwall Hamper Company.

Interim BID manager, Kim Harris, said: “Although this will be a BID-owned piece of work, it will definitely have cross-organisation benefits. The valuable data that we collect from this work can be used for future funding bids, e-newsletters, future destination branding and marketing and for business plans.

“It will also allow us to develop a five-year focus and strategic communications plan based on the results generated to ensure we are hitting the key objectives for the town across all communications platforms.”
