After 32 years working for Millerson Estate Agents, Adrian Gay has retired as branch manager of the Cornish company’s Helston office.

However, he will continue to share his experience and knowledge of the area by working as a consultant for the family firm.

Gay initially began a career in banking when he left school. After eight years with Barclays, he applied for a job with the Miller family’s estate agency and was interviewed by Geofrey Miller, son of the company’s founder and still a partner alongside his son, Jeremy.

He said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time in the business but have decided to take early retirement to spend more time with my family and enjoy my hobbies.

“I feel very fortunate to have been offered a consultancy position, which means I will still be available to any client who requests my input and will also help in any other way I can.”
