The Falmouth Business Improvement District’s visitor signage project was recognised at the recently-held British BIDs conference, as one of the best BID projects delivered across the UK in 2013.
The BID was awarded Bronze for its visitor signage scheme, a project unveiled in June this year.
With over 150 BIDs operating across the UK, the award is recognition for an initiative that is the single largest project delivered so far by the Falmouth BID.
Richard Wilcox, the Falmouth BID manager said: “The BID’s resources are modest and so it is by working creatively with other proactive organisations, that much can be achieved to support our businesses.
“We were determined that the signage components reflected Falmouth – original, creative and vibrant and so rather than choose bland designs from a catalogue, a solution that achieves synergy with the exciting Falmouth spirit of the sea brand and colour was chosen. This makes it fittingly unique to Falmouth.”
