Just six months after opening, a Falmouth hairdressing salon has already taken on an extra member of staff, introduced a local loyalty card scheme and started refurbishing its first floor room.

So successful have Rudi’s first months been, that it can take more than a week to get an appointment.

“The number of clients we’ve got has exceeded all expectation,” said Ross Jackson-Hicks, who runs the business with wife Soraya.

“Starting up our own salon was a very big step for Soraya and I, but it has certainly paid off. We love running Rudi’s and couldn’t be happier with our team, our location and all the lovely people who come in to have their hair done.”

To help cater for the extra custom, the company has taken on a new stylist Kevin Davis. It has also introduced a loyalty card scheme with neighbouring Well Lane businesses Salt Pig and Pea Souk, giving a ten per cent discount to anyone who produces a receipt from one of the other two.
