MP Dan Rogerson has pledged his support for local businesses across north Cornwall following a visit to Home Furnishings in Wadebridge.
Rogerson visited the company’s two stores in the town as part of the Forum of Private Business’s Business Buddy scheme, which aims to help MPs understand the challenges facing small businesses.
He spoke to director David Heath and his team about the challenges of running a business and discussed what he could do to help and support Home Furnishings and other local businesses across north Cornwall.
The Business Buddy scheme is organised by the Forum of Private Business’s ‘Get Britain Trading’ campaign for improved business conditions for small firms.
Rogerson said: “Visiting Home Furnishings was a great opportunity to find out more about the business, what they do, and how they contribute back into the local economy.
“Small local businesses are the backbone of our economy in Cornwall and it is right that we do everything we can to support them.”
