Free high-speed public Wi-Fi has been installed at the White River Place shopping centre in St Austell.
The service has been made possible through an agreement between shopping centre investment and asset manager, Ellandi, and BSkyB-owned, The Cloud.
Ellandi partner Mark Robinson commented: “This shows our commitment to bring the type of service and amenity to local communities that most would expect in major shopping centres such as Cribbs Causeway or Westfield London.”
Offering The Cloud comes at no cost to the retailers and restaurants at White River Place. Customers wishing to use Wi-Fi will do so free of charge. After registering, they will be redirected to a branded webpage and will then be able to surf online.
Retailers and restaurant owners can also make use of the service by offering discounts and special offers to those logging on. In offering free, unlimited Wi-Fi to shoppers, we are improving the customer experience.
Centre manager, Claire Daniel, added: “Installing Wi-Fi is a boost to everyone who comes to White River Place. The shoppers get a great free amenity, and greater convenience and the stores will benefit from higher footfall through their stores with customers staying longer.”
