Scilly-based postal flower service, Scent from the Islands, has reported a record number of Christmas orders.
During the period from December 10-21, over 22,000 scented Narcissi were handpicked, packed and posted by the team from Churchtown Farm on St Martin’s, a 15% increase on last year.
Company partner, Zoe Julian, said: “We reached 22,000 orders just in time – it was only a few hours before the last Christmas post left the islands!
“I think our figures certainly prove that people are prepared to spend their money on products that are high quality and good value for money, as well as buying British.”
