Truro’s New Look has created 20 new jobs for the local economy as a result of a major development.
Doubling in size and reopening the first floor, this will now be the largest New Look store in Cornwall, and the changes are bringing many new and great elements to the city.
New Look Truro recruited a further 20 new staff members, including a new sales manager with an ‘X Factor’ style recruitment process.
Potential recruits were challenged to work in groups and create the would-be perfect outfit for celebrities such as Kylie Minogue.
Mark Warren, New Look store manager, said: “We are so excited about the new store and range of fashion we are bringing to Truro’s high street. There is a real buzz in New Look with all the developments well underway”.
Neil Scott, Totally Truro BID Manager, welcomed the development and said: “It is fantastic to see a multinational chain investing in Truro, especially during these uncertain economic times.
“Our city has a unique retail sector, with a strong range of independent shops as well as national stores. New Look is bringing a welcome jobs boost to the area and will be brightening up our high street.”
