A Cornish office stationers is celebrating further expansion with the opening of a new department and arrival of a furniture expert.
Office Smart, which has recently relocated to the Barncoose Industrial Estate in Redruth from Penryn, has taken on Anthony Gilbert.
Anthony, who has joined as executive sales representative, will offer customers advice for office design, fit-out and furniture supply.
“We’re really pleased to welcome Anthony to the team,” said Office Smart’s managing director, Barry Wilkinson.
“Anthony has a lot of experience in this field and has got great contacts in Cornwall, which will help the business grow.
“As a company we’re known as office stationers, but as many people know we have always supplied furniture such as office chairs, desks and filing cabinets.
“But we will now be able to offer our customers much more with complete turnkey solutions.
“As well as supplying individual pieces of furniture we can now offer a full design service and fit-out.
“This allows us to take an empty office and design its layout to suit client’s needs and specifications. We can also add in false ceilings and flooring if necessary, arrange for networking and telephone systems to be installed, as well provide the furniture.”
Anthony, who has over 14 years’ experience in office furniture, said: “It’s a great time to be joining Office Smart.
“They’ve recently relocated to fantastic new premises, which will give us the space to create a furniture showroom for customers to visit.
“We also have the space to stock a greater range and our new location means it is easier for us to supply customers across the whole of Cornwall.
