Cornish interiors specialist Newline Interiors, has taken a further step in its development with the opening of its first high street store in Newquay.

The company, which specialises in the manufacture and fitting of a wide range of hand made curtains, blinds and soft furnishings, welcomed the Mayor of Newquay Lynda Cherry, to officially open its new store, which is in Cliff Road.

Sue Clark, who launched Newline Blinds and Interiors 9 years ago, based at Formal Business Park in Camborne, said the opening of the company’s first high street store was the culmination of the growth and development of the Newline Interiors name.

“It’s fantastic to be having a high street presence for the first time and we are extremely excited to be opening our doors here in Newquay, after what has been a great deal of planning and preparation. The regeneration, which is happening in the town, is very exciting and we felt it was the perfect place to open our first retail outlet.

“We have built a really positive customer base and reputation across Cornwall and the South West over the past 9 years, helping bring rooms to life – whether they were in private homes, hotels, restaurants or office developments.

“But we became increasingly aware that many people simply did not realise the range of products and services that we provide or the fact that the vast majority of our products are hand made by our team in Camborne, so having a shop seemed the logical next step for us.

“People can now come in and see for themselves the wide ranges and styles of window dressings, materials and soft furnishings which we can produce for them, discuss their specific needs and speak directly to our consultants,” said Sue.

Sue hopes that the opening of the Newquay shop will be the start of a number of Newline Blinds and Interiors stores across the South West.

“People are more interested than ever in how their home looks and feels and window dressings and soft furnishings play a major role in that, so we hope our new shop will prove a valuable destination for anyone looking to revamp their rooms,” said Sue.
