Cornwall Council’s website has been named the best among the country’s local authorities.
The accolade, from web surveyors Sitemorse, recognises the efforts by Cornwall Council’s web team to improve accessibility and performance for users, as well as “functional excellence” throughout the website.
“Websites are a valuable way of getting information to a wide audience,” said Jason Williams, Cornwall Council’s web manager. “Our aim has always been to ensure as many people as possible can access our website, regardless of ability.”
Leader of Cornwall Council, councillor Jim Currie, added: “I am delighted that our website has gained this recognition and that our website continues to keep up with changes in technology.”
