Cornwall Councillors have provisionally agreed to cut services in the Duchy by up to £100 million over the next four years.

Council chief executive Kevin Lavery warned last year that the council faced “the mother of all spending squeezes”, words that now appear to be bearing out.

And while details of which services will be affected have yet to be determined, these are going to be worrying times for council workers, with up to 1,000 jobs losses on the cards.
