KCS Print, Cornwall’s only roll label manufacturer, has launched its new digital label division.

Focused on sustainable label production, Root Sustainable Labels can now manufacture branded product labels for use on bottles, cans and packaging.

Guests such as St Eval Candles and Philip Warren Butchers were treated to demonstrations of the new machines whilst they produced labels for Da Bara Bakery and Firebrand Brewery using recycled material with a specialist tactile varnish.

Zoe Deadman, MD of KCS Print, said: “Root labels are proud to be the only digital label manufacturer in Cornwall. And I’m happy to share our expertise with companies that are looking to decrease their carbon footprint whilst increasing their shelf appeal. We intend to be the trusted go to labelling company for Cornish brands.

“After years of manufacturing for international companies such as ASOS, Debenhams and big supermarket chains we are pleased to have the opportunity to share our skills with the local community. We are now offering that care and expertise to smaller local brands to produce beautiful, unique labels and importantly give the right environmental advice.”

The carbon neutral, Launceston-based factory, ensures that it promotes sustainability as a key function of its business model. The full supply chain is rigorously checked through its longstanding ISO14001 environmental certification. It is now working towards B Corp certification to ensure that there is continual improvement from an environmental, social and governmental perspective.
