A Cornish stairway manufacturer has won a high-profile contract in Wales.
Helston-based Spiral UK will be providing the staircase for Swansea Arena, which is part of the £1 billion Swansea Central redevelopment of the Welsh city centre.
Swansea Arena will be a multi-functional 3,500-capacity indoor venue and Spiral has been contracted to create the massive helical staircase in the entrance to the venue.
Spiral UK MD, Eric Nicholls, said: “There is such a buzz around this project. We are really thrilled to be involved in something so exciting and are looking forward to the challenge of installing such a spectacular staircase.
“The staircase is currently being designed and I have seen the first renders, it curves in a wonderful arc as it rises and will have a striking effect in what I am sure will become an iconic building in Swansea.”
