A manufacturing business near Bude is set to double its turnover and staff numbers after securing a grant from the South West Growth Fund.
Chapman Manufacturing, which designs and manufactures equipment for the agricultural, equestrian and horticultural industries across the world, is using the £43k grant to invest in new equipment and expand its production capacity.
The new paint finishing and shot blasting machinery, which is due to be installed over the next two months, will mean the firm no longer needs to outsource any of its production and can manufacture everything on site.
Founder and director, James Chapman, said: “The South West Growth Fund investment means we can bring all our production under our own roof. This will cut costs, reduce lead times and enable us to do more and work faster.”
