Cornish biscuit manufacturer Furniss has expanded its portfolio with the launch of a new Furniss Ginger biscuit range.
The new range of everyday ginger biscuits will complement the brand’s existing collection of traditional Cornish fairings, shortbread and other varieties of gifting biscuits.
Mark Muncey, sales and marketing director at Furniss, said: “The new Gingers range represents a new direction for the Furniss brand. Whilst retaining the 125 year history and heritage associated with our gifting biscuits…this new range of every day ginger biscuits appeals to a completely new audience and fills an important gap in the market.”
Furniss enlisted the help of Cornwall-based designer, Reseigh Fooks, to help spice up the brand and it hopes the new packaging and product positioning will attract new, younger consumers to the everyday treats segment, which is currently worth over £300M.
