Local company Frugi have announced the launch of their spring 2013 collection of organic cotton childrenswear into 13 John Lewis stores nationally and online at johnlewis.com.

Husband and wife team Kurt and Lucy Jewson started Frugi in their spare room in Cornwall in 2004, inspired by the birth of their first son. Since then the business has grown rapidly with Frugi establishing themselves firmly in the childrenwear market and being voted as one of the top 3 bestselling ranges in the UK throughout 2012 by Childrenswear Buyer magazine.

Frugi’s Kurt Jewson commented, “Everyone at Frugi is very excited about the brand going into John Lewis. What John Lewis stand for in terms of customer care, ethics and brand loyalty are crucial to any partnership we engage in. We have found everyone at John Lewis delightful to deal with and we are expecting great things.”

Jackie Zorn, Babywear Buyer, John Lewis added, “Frugi will definitely appeal to the John Lewis customer. The designs are very exciting and the fabric is a lovely 100% organic cotton. We are very pleased to be working with this brand.”

Frugi continues it’s expansion with next month seeing them expand their ranges to include washable nappies and clothes for older children.
