A growing number of entrepreneurial and innovative Cornish businesses are signing up to become the county’s ‘Brand Ambassadors’.
To date more than 25 companies – including Business Cornwall – have been selected to use the Cornwall Brand and play a key role in representing Cornish business to the wider world.
Explaining the thinking behind Cornwall Brand, brand manager Lucy Hunt said: “Cornwall Brand is more than just a logo. Our Brand Ambassadors represent the dynamic and entrepreneurial business community that exists within the county. Surveys in 2005 and 2007 found that both UK consumer and business audiences had a very outdated image, associated solely with tourism.
“While the tourism industry is of vital importance to the Cornish economy, the wider business community is often overlooked. Cornwall Brand aims to celebrate business success in the county and demonstrate the innovation and talent that exists.”
Business Cornwall director Nick Eyriey added: “Cornwall’s brand reputation is growing all the time and we’re both proud and delighted to be associated with it.”
Other Brand Ambassadors include: Proper Cornish Food Company, Skinner’s Brewery, Camel Valley, Piran Technologies, CIOS, Finisterre, TRAC Services and Pendennis Shipyard.
