Venton Ltd based in Summercourt, near Newquay, has recently been awarded funding from Cornwall Council’s Growth Hub Grants Scheme. The Growth Hub grants are part of the Good Growth Programme, which is delivering the UK Shared Prosperity Fund in Cornwall and Isles of Scilly. The grant will help fund development of the already successful conference centre, aiming to offer more high spec conference rooms for Cornish businesses as well as those further afield.
Venton opened its doors back in 2021 and since then has gone from strength to strength. The innovative, state of the art centre has developed its facilities over the years from a smart sign in for delegates, to high spec conference calling systems allowing for hybrid delivery of meetings and events.
Georgina May, Managing Director of Venton says “It has been a long process but with help from the team at The Growth Hub we are all super excited to have been awarded the maximum funding available. The expansion of the centre will offer new and existing clients additional meeting room space as well as a relaxed communal work space. We can’t wait to open the doors to more opportunity for businesses in Cornwall to come together in this exciting new innovative and creative space. ”
Sophie Turton, Conference Centre Manager of Venton says “I am so proud and excited to see Venton grow and this is a really exciting stage in Venton’s journey, especially as we are still a relatively young business. I can’t wait to see the team expand and offer these new spaces to both new and existing clients alike”.
The project is due for completion in early February 2025.
