A fledgling Cornish fruit bar company has secured a deal to supply Waitrose’s online home delivery partner – Ocado.
Since being launched last year by chef Davina Whiteoak, Get Fruity has enjoyed rapid growth.
Whiteoak said: “Our progress has been phenomenal as we are getting traction with regional and national delis, cafes and attractions.
“Our main customer in Cornwall is the Eden Project where we are sold in the children’s lunch box and their retail shops.
“Rick Stein has also tried our bars and he loved them so much we are listed in his deli. We have sold 140,000 bars since we started production in February and we have investment in place to grow the business.”
The Get Fruity Bar comes in three flavours; Scrumptious Strawberry, Moist Mixed Berry and Juicy Apricot, Orange and Ginger. Get Fruity is made from a blend of real fruit, natural fruit juices, British wholegrain oats and virgin coconut oil.
