Three new summer routes start flying out of Newquay Cornwall Airport this Bank Holiday weekend.

Keith Marshall and Captain Alastair Ripper highlight the launch of the three new Flybe routes

From this Saturday (May 5), Flybe will begin its weekly service to Belfast City and Newcastle, while the Norwich route will operate twice weekly (Wednesdays and Saturdays).

These three new routes increase Flybe’s summer schedule from Newquay to a total of seven destinations that include its franchise partner, Loganair’s service to Glasgow.

Flybe UK managing director, Andrew Strong, commented: “We are strongly committed to the south west and to growing the number of destinations we offer from Newquay.

“The launch of our direct services to Belfast City, Newcastle and Norwich sees us responding to consumer demand, creating convenient and improved transport links to and from Cornwall. These new routes offer benefits for both leisure and business travellers and highlight Flybe’s commitment to giving our customers as much travel choice as possible.”

Newquay Cornwall Airport’s dinance director, Keith Marshall, added: “Flybe’s new routes to Norwich, Newcastle and Belfast City are welcomed destinations to the Newquay Cornwall Airport portfolio. They will make accessibility to and from Cornwall easier than ever and we forecast that an additional 7,000 passengers will pass through the airport as a result.”
