Joules to open in Truro

Clothing retailer Joules will shortly be opening its new shop at the former Gul store in Pydar Street.

The property in the centre of the city’s prime shopping area was sought after by a number of retailers, however Joules, represented by joint agents twenty retail and Miller Commercial succeeded in a competitive bidding process, eventually offering in excess of the agents requested guide rent.

Miller Commercial partner Peter Heather said: “The introduction of another high end brand is another major boost to Truro.

“At a time when high streets in other parts of the country are struggling there is a continuing demand from major retailers to be situated in Truro and I would hope their success would lead to the opening of outlets in other Cornish towns.”
