Truro-based telecoms company Datasharp UK has struck a new partnership with global giant Cisco.

Datasharp will join Cisco’s partner community and help drive its portfolio of ‘office-in-a-box’ telephone systems and switches.

Traditionally, Cisco has been dominant in the Enterprise market and is now looking to replicate this success in the SME market.

Andy Brocklehurst, Cisco’s UK lead for small business and distribution, explained: “The team at Datasharp offer us the insight and solutions for small and medium businesses in the UK that is so critical to our success and such a major part of our strategy in growing our market share in this segment. We are confident that this new partnership will drive incremental growth for both companies.”

John Wyatt, National Business Account Manager, added: “Datasharp was the obvious choice for us. They are a long-term voice player, with a deep understanding of the voice and data market.

“We have been pursuing them for a number of years and now, with the SMB Select Portfolio offering end to end solutions, we are ecstatic to have them on board.”

Datasharp MD Jane Cockcroft said: “Cisco’s SMB portfolio is directed at simplifying business communications at a compelling cost and is a great addition to our already strong offering.

“We look forward to a long and successful relationship with Cisco – a brand that is highly recognised and respected globally.”
