A Redruth-based recycling company has won a contract with one of the UK’s largest coffee vending firms.

The Electronic Waste Company will manage the recycling of thousands of end-of-life vending machines each year owned by Kafévend.

Kafévend owns more than 11,000 machines across the UK and upgrades large volumes of these each year.

They will now be prepared and dismantled for spares and recycling by The Electronic Waste Company.

While The Electronic Waste Company will initially be processing the vending machines at its Cornwall premises, in the New Year, it will open an additional site in Bristol.

CEO Damian Lambkin commented: “We began processing computers and IT equipment, and as the business has grown, so has the range of items we can deal with. It’s good to welcome Kafévend on board; our highly skilled staff will ensure that the machines are recycled in the most environmentally friendly manner possible, and as always, nothing will go to landfill.”

Having vending machines recycled is a good thing especially for saving on landfill. Vending never stops to amaze, 1000’s of vending machines recycled every year is fantastic.
