New look Kelly’s of Cornwall ice cream parlours are being unveiled across the Duchy as part of an extensive refurbishment project worth more than £50k.

This significant investment means visitors to 46 scooping parlours, which cover 30 towns in Cornwall, will notice fresh new-look shops when they buy a Kelly’s ice cream this summer.

The refurbishment programme includes updated signage, new point of sale material – from freezers and fascias, to branded flags, stickers and posters – to ensure the sites are more vibrant, modern and generally more visually appealing.

James Turner, Kelly’s of Cornwall sales manager, commented: “A tremendous amount of work has been put into our much loved ice cream palours and the end result is a series of fresh and smart sites – just in time for the key summer season.”

The refurbishment activity in Cornwall is part of a wider programme of investment by parent company R&R Ice Cream. Activities this year include a nationwide marketing and TV advertising campaign to help drive awareness of the brand nationally, new flavour development and staff recruitment at the Bodmin-based factory on the back of strong sales growth.
