Cornish leisure company Treasure Trails has taken on extra staff and expanded into new offices in Truro.

Treasure Trails was started by Steve Ridd MBE in 2005, who worked from home to write and sell treasure hunts aimed at getting visitors and local people out and about exploring Cornwall.

Four years on and the company has won numerous awards, expanded to accommodate new premises in High Cross, Truro and now employs four full-time staff with 20 licensees across the UK.

The increasing demand for fun, healthy and informative leisure activities has led to the appointment of a marketing manager through Unlocking Cornish Potential, a scheme which assists Cornish businesses to recruit graduates in order to fuel innovation and growth.

The bigger team at Treasure Trails will support the company’s continuing expansion throughout the UK.

Ridd explained: “As a rapidly expanding business, it is important for Treasure Trails to have the staff and resources to cope with the huge demand for our products. Our new offices in Truro will allow us to be at the centre of the business community in Cornwall and our new core team will be able to efficiently manage our licensees who are all over the UK’.
