Wardell Armstrong Takes On New Director

Wardell Armstrong International Ltd, the Truro based independent engineering consultancy which specialises in minerals, energy and environmental development and management, has recruited a new Associate Director to head up its seven-strong environmental team.   Martin Ackerley, who has over 20 years experience in consulting, specialist sub-contracting and local government, joins the company from Kerrier District Council where he worked for 10 years as the resident engineer within the environment and engineering service.

Martin will be responsible for contamination assessments, geotechnical investigations and ground engineering, land remediation, as well as environmental impact assessments and integrated pollution prevention and control permitting.

Martin said: “I’ve worked in the public sector for some time but it’s great to work for a company like Wardell Armstrong, which has a highly regarded reputation and a proven track record in the fields of environment, energy and earth resources.

“I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Kerrier District Council but I’m now very much looking forward to this new challenge, which presents me with the opportunity to gain additional experience and broaden my horizons”.
