It’s less than three weeks until the Royal Cornwall Show and the Growth Hub team can’t wait to attend.

Each year members of the Growth Hub look forward to pulling on their wellies or sandals, depending on the weather, and visiting one of the much-anticipated events in the calendar.

This year it takes place from June 6-8 at the Royal Cornwall Show Ground, Wadebridge, and The Growth Hub have been allocated stand 320 – just down from the Pavilion Centre. Here the team will be on hand to talk about support and training and businesses will be able to chat through ideas and also discover information on a calendar of workshops and skills sessions on offer.

Every year at the show, Growth Hub connectors speak to scores of people on topics which range from those with the start of an idea to others with aspirations of seeing their already successful business grow beyond expectations.

Growth connector Jane Stribley said: “It’s great to be able to attend the Royal Cornwall Show. It gives us an opportunity to chat with business owners, their families, and employees of Cornish businesses. Being at the show allows us to help people access support for their growth plans they often didn’t know was available – especially busy business owners like farmers and fledgling businesses.

“Sometimes we meet businesses who’ve heard of us on the radio but not got around to getting in touch. Attending the show means they can come along and chat to us at their leisure without the usual daily pressures of their work.

“We also have a meeting area on the stand so we can sit and chat to businesses about their plans. This can be really useful to help them discover there’s lots of support available.

“We are all contributing to the growth of the Cornish economy in our own way and that makes us all feel very proud to work for Growth Hub.”

Stu Anderson, Growth Hub’s operations lead, plans to attend Thursday’s CLA breakfast and there will also be representation at the Chamber’s Inclusivity breakfast on Thursday. On the Friday, Kirsty Miles-Musgrave, Growth Hub’s investment operations manager, has booked to attend Business Cornwall’s breakfast event.

Cerys Hartt, senior engagement, specialist, said: “I always look forward to going to the Royal Cornwall Show. It is a great place to meet so many fantastic businesses and I love seeing how many innovative ideas people in Cornwall have.

“If you see us on stand 320, come and say hi.”
